Cornhole Boards

Regulation cornhole boards are 24" wide by 48" long, with a 6" diameter hole. The front of the board is 2.5"-3.5" from the ground, and the back edge 12".

You can buy a cheap set for about $150, but they're made of flimsy materials and the bag will bounce. You'll want a set of cornhole boards that's made out of high-quality plywood (ideally 3/4", at least 5/8" and never 1/2") so the bags don't bounce when they land on the boards, and the boards themselves don't jump around.

Cornhole Bags

Cornhole bags are 6" x 6" square and weigh one pound. They were originally filled with corn, but today most bags are filled with resin pellets that don't attract vermin or rot when they get wet.

They were traditionally made out of canvas, but serious baggers use bags that are sticky on one side and slick on the other so they can throw sliders or blockers. The sticky side is usually suede, while the slick side is either canvas or special material that lets the bag slide even in damp, sticky conditions.
